The builder,
on the record.
GRT BUILDERS LLC is a residential general contractor and for-sale builder headquartered in Payson, Utah — four trades, one license, one way of working.
Why this
builder.
GRT BUILDERS LLC was organized on a principle every client deserves: the builder should know what the build costs before the client signs. Not a range with a hundred allowances — a written scope with a real number behind it.
We run four trades under one roof. Single-family and multifamily general contracting for clients with land and a plan; for-sale merchant building on our own lots; and residential remodel, additions and restoration work — the jobs nobody wants to document get the same written scope as the new builds.
The Payson shop is where the office, the yard and the superintendent board live — every job on it is named, dated and tracked. A job that isn't on the board doesn't exist to the company.
"Framing is the easy part. The discipline is in the paper before the footing."
GRT Builders · Founding principleSite rules.
Six rules posted on every jobsite fence and every office wall.
Written scope, fixed schedule
Scope, selections and milestone schedule signed before work starts — the client holds the same paper the superintendent does.
One superintendent
A named superintendent runs each job — the person who knows the framing from the finish answers the phone directly.
Changes in writing
No verbal change orders — every deviation is priced, documented and signed before the crew continues.
Subs to the same standard
Subcontractor work is coordinated to the same schedule and documented to the same file — the client gets one builder, not eight excuses.
Punch out properly
Every job ends with a written punch list walked with the client — items initialed, photos in the file, warranties in hand.
Clean site, always
A job the neighbor complains about is a job done wrong — sites are kept clean, safe and fenced for the duration.
